What is the Quality of your Favorite Water?

Greetings!

Drink plenty of water, but avoid bottled water when you can. It pollutes the environment and is often bottled from tap water. When you must, choose from brands with clear labeling and advanced treatment.

Only 2 bottled waters disclose water sources and treatment methods on their labels and offer a recent water quality test report on their websites. None of the top 10 U.S. domestic bottled water brands label specific water sources and treatment methods for all their products.

One of my favorite brands in the past had been Ice Mountain. After scoring it with this scorecard system I found it is not purified and uses no advanced treatments for cleaning or safety. It's overall score was a D. Not good...not good at all!

Go to this webpage and check out your favorite water brands. Find out if it is truly just another tap water in a plastic bottle or if it is really treated and purified like it should be.

So...Have a healthy day! I hope you learned something about bottled water today!

Hi Deb,

It's Carole from CommonSenseLiving.com. You know, I've always tried to use filtered tap water just because I'm cheap. Wish I could be more noble than that, but that's the truth. But now there are concerns about the plastic bottles leaching chemicals into the water. Do you have a resource for a safe bottle for those of us who prefer to used filtered tap water?
